there is no budget. we can't get a budget here because senator harry reid doesn't want that to happen. that is where there is a lot of tie up. as a rin governor in a very democratic state of massachusetts he got things passed. >> he did. it's a particularly effective discussion for him to develop because as you know and you and i had this discussion most americans want to see things get done of they want to see problems solved and what mitt rom fee has done is fix things. and this is to work as cross the line. he's had to do that when running lirp olympics so that is something american people want to hear. i would be willing to bet if you looked at focus groups and polls during that that part of the debate that probably scored off the charts. it's a theme he needs to develop within the remaining days of the campaign. >> any thoughts looking ahead to the debate on foreign policy? it's not something governor romney has been having a lot of experience in. and any thought on that one? >> well, there is a target rich environment. the president has a dismal record there. tonight talking about domestic pol

pulling out militarily. this is all happening because harry reid, president obama, and all geniuses gave us the idea that we should have a timetable on a war. so we started this in 2006 putting the pressure on president bush. a timetable? there is no such thing as a timetable for war. we should leave afghanistan when people there in that part of the world stop planning to come here and kill us. we should be this until that is offer. we node a military presence there. a lot of what is happening in afghanistan because karzai has no place to go --. >>neil: do you think al qaeda is restrengthening? >>guest: they do not see american troops in afghanistan and see as dwindling number of our troops in afghanistan and that area of the world. what they going to do? come out of hiding and do what they will do. >>neil: a problem you would mention tonight? >>guest: i know 65 percent of the membership want us out of there, but this is where it take being a president and a leader we cannot be out of there. an american president has to stand up and explain this to the american people the we have to be t

one of the biggest disasters. neil: harry reid even questioning that, his devotion, and whether he's a good representative of mormonism. >> that's the best, one of the church leaders, and one reasons he's talking about the accomplishments with people and self-helped people and helping them through the problems through psychiatric, religious, financial, ect. -- neil: even in the late stage of the game, many people don't know the guy. >> yeah, and the reason that's so because we -- i was a bishop when i ran for the senate, doing all of the things any pastor would do, only not paid for it because it's voluntary, and, you know, you're called to the positions, and you really don't talk about those. it's difficult for him to talk about what a great human being he is. neil: he didn't have problems talking about a few more details in the tax plan, senator, and among the things advocated, other than the 20% cut in taxes across the board for everyone, he built in a few more dots saying he'd limit deductions. put a $70,000 figure on that. a lot of folks heard that and said, even with the tax

save harry reid in 2010. everyone knows about that. i think the republicans have something to worry about here in nevada with that voter registration machine. the republicans obviously have a better team on the ground than in 2010. that's a low bar to get over. but i think they still have their work cut out. they're behind now by 6% statewide in voter registration. more than a hundred thousand voters in democratic clark county. that is very difficult to overcome when you're going to have an 80% turnout and a lot of partisan voting by the partisans. >> john, great to see you this morning. thank you. >> thanks, thomas. >>> here's a look at some of the stories topping the news right now for you. police in florida still haven't released the names of two people killing in a shooting at the vfw post just outside of orlando. a charity motorcycle ride was about to kick off when a gunman opened fire on the riders who were sitting down to breakfast. the third person was critically injured. >>> ten years after one of the killing sprees in history, lee boyd malvo is expressing regret for the cr

pushed through something that you and nancy pelosi and harry reid felt was the best answer and drove it through. what we did in a legislature 87% democrat, we worked together. 200 legislators in my legislate churks only two voted against the plan by the time we were finished. we didn't raise taxes. you raised them by a trillion dollars under obamacare. we didn't cut medicare. of course, we don't have medicare, but we didn't cut it by $716 billion. we didn't put in place a board that can tell people what treatments they're going to receive. we didn't also do something that i think a number of people across this country recognize which is put people in a position where they're going to lose the insurance they had and they wanted. right now the cbo says up to 20 million people will lose their insurance as obamacare goes into effect next year. and likewise a study by mckenzie and company of american businesses said 30% of them are anticipating dropping people from coverage. so for those reasons, for the tax, for medicare, for this board and for people losing their insurance, this is why

through something that you and nancy pelosi and harry reid thought was the best answer and drove it through. what we did, in a legislator 87% democrat, we worked together. 200 legislators in my sledge lay or the, only two voted against the plan by the time we were finished. what were some differences? we didn't raise taxes. you raised them a trillion dollars. we didn't cut medicare. we don't have it, but we didn't cut medicare by $716 billion. we didn't put in place a board that will tell people thwhat treatments they can have. we didn't put people in a position where they're going to lose the insurance they had and they wanted. right now, the cbo says up to 20 million people will lose their insurance as obama care g into effect next year. and like wise, a study said 30% of them are anticipating dropping people from coverage. so, for those reasons, for the tax, for medicare, for this board, and for people losing their insurance, this is why the american people don't want obama care. it's why republicans said, "do not do this" and the republicans had a plan, they put a plan out. t
